Sustainability Partners
Our impact is made possible through close collaboration with organisations that share our commitment to protecting pollinators, restoring ecosystems, and reducing environmental harm. These partners play a direct role in turning our values into tangible, long-term action.
The Bee Effect
We partner with The Bee Effect through their Trees for Bees programme to help restore bee habitats across South Africa. For every 25 kilograms of honey sold, a bee-forage tree is planted to support pollinators during critical flowering gaps and strengthen local biodiversity.
This initiative focuses on planting indigenous, seasonally appropriate trees that provide essential nectar and pollen — helping build healthier, more resilient ecosystems for bees and the environments they sustain.
Growing Paper
To reduce waste and create regenerative touchpoints, our printed materials are produced using plantable, seed-embedded paper made from 100% recycled waste. Once planted, the paper grows bee-friendly wildflowers — transforming communication into habitat and closing the loop on disposability.
By choosing materials that return to the earth, we ensure that even the smallest details contribute meaningfully to our environmental goals.
Impact Partnerships
Collaboration is one of the most effective ways to create meaningful, lasting change. Our impact partnerships bring together purpose-driven businesses, schools, and organisations that want their work to extend beyond products or services and contribute to healthier ecosystems and communities.
Through these partnerships, we work with like-minded organisations to support ethical South African beekeepers, protect pollinators, and restore natural forage — while creating value-aligned touchpoints through co-branded honey, gifting, hospitality, and fundraising models.
For some partners, this means offering co-branded honey for resale or gifting. For others, it may involve school fundraisers, hospitality collaborations, or sustainability-focused customer experiences. Each partnership is shaped to reflect shared values, practical impact, and long-term thinking.
Whether you’re a school, café, hotel, corporate team, or community initiative, partnering with Southern Gold means becoming part of a growing sustainability network — one that connects people, bees, and the land through thoughtful action.

Growing Forward
Impact is not a fixed goal — it’s an ongoing responsibility. As Southern Gold grows, so does our commitment to strengthening ethical beekeeping, restoring pollinator habitats, and reducing the environmental footprint of how we operate. We continue to refine our processes, deepen our partnerships, and explore new ways to contribute meaningfully to people, pollinators, and the land they depend on. Our focus is long-term by design. By choosing steady progress over quick wins, we aim to build impact that lasts — rooted in collaboration, accountability, and care for the ecosystems that make our work possible.
