We’ve partnered with Growing Paper, a South African company that transforms recycled paper into something extraordinary — paper that can be planted to grow bee-friendly wildflowers.

At Southern Gold Honey, we believe sustainability isn’t only about what’s inside the jar — it’s about every piece of communication that connects us to the world.
That’s why our flyers and soap bellybands are printed on Growing Paper — hand-crafted, plantable paper made from 100% post-consumer waste and embedded with pollinator-friendly seeds. As we grow, all of our paper-related products will only be made using Growing Paper's products.
After serving its purpose, this paper can be torn, soaked, and planted in soil. With sunlight, water, and a little patience, it grows into wildflowers that provide food and habitat for bees. It’s a small act of renewal — turning something once discarded into life that gives back.

Growing Paper offers a variety of seed blends, but we’ve chosen Alyssum, also known in Afrikaans as heuningblom — meaning “honey flower.” We couldn’t think of a more fitting bloom. These small, white flowers have a gentle, honey-like fragrance and are beloved by bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
By planting your Growing Paper, you’re helping create a small patch of habitat that truly lives up to its name. Every flyer or bellyband you plant becomes a continuation of our mission to protect bees, support local ecosystems, and bring people closer to nature.
