Terms & Conditions – Southern Gold Honey

1. Introduction
Southern Gold Honey (Pty) Ltd (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides access to this website and our honey products under the following Terms and Conditions. By browsing or purchasing from www.southerngoldhoney.co.za, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use our website.
2. Products
We specialise in raw, local, and ethically sourced honey and honey-related products. These include (but are not limited to) liquid honey, spicy honey, and creamed honey. In the near future, our range may expand to include honey-based food items, skincare products, and non-alcoholic beverages.
3. Orders, Payments & Pre-Orders
All orders must be paid in full before processing. Payments are securely handled via Yoco, supporting major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, EFT, and other standard payment methods.
We offer a credit-based system for bulk honey orders. For example, a 25kg bulk order equals 50 credits (based on 500g portions). Customers may request partial deliveries as needed, with a minimum dispatch quantity of 10 units per delivery. Delivery charges are calculated separately and not included in product pricing.
4. Fulfilment & Lead Times
Standard orders are processed and dispatched within five (5) business days from payment confirmation.
For co-branded collaborations, the five-day lead time applies only after:

Final artwork is approved by the customer, and

Signed documentation is returned to us.
Orders are dispatched using trusted partners such as The Courier Guy and BobGo, and tracking details may be provided once shipped. While we do our best to ensure timely delivery, we are not liable for courier delays or events beyond our control.
5. Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of our products, we only offer returns or exchanges under specific circumstances:

If your honey has crystallised, we will exchange it on request.

If the honey is damaged or contaminated (not caused by customer handling), we will replace or refund the item at no cost.

Co-branded or customised products are non-refundable, but exchangeable.
Return requests must be made within seven (7) days of delivery by emailing contact@southerngoldhoney.co.za. Shipping costs for approved returns or exchanges are covered by us.
6. User Accounts & Website Use
You may create a user account to manage your orders, view your order history, and leave product reviews.
We welcome honest, respectful feedback through reviews and comments. We reserve the right to remove any inappropriate or misleading content.
7. Intellectual Property
All website content—including images, labels, branding, logos, and written content—is the property of Southern Gold Honey (Pty) Ltd. Reproduction, resale, or misuse of this material without our written consent is strictly prohibited.
We permit co-branded partners to use approved content only within the bounds of a signed collaboration agreement.
8. Limitation of Liability
Southern Gold Honey is not liable for:

Indirect or consequential losses,

Delays caused by third-party couriers,

Damage occurring after safe delivery has been confirmed.
We take all reasonable measures to ensure product quality and secure delivery.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be handled under South African jurisdiction.
